YBhg. Dato Sabri Bin Ahmad

YBhg. Dato Sabri Bin Ahmad is the current Group President and Chief Executive Officer of Felda Global Ventures Holdings and Felda Holdings Berhad, the parent company of all the commercial entities of Felda (Federal Land Development Agency that was formed by an Act of Parliament in 1956).

He holds BSc (Hons) Agricultural from University of Malaya and MSc in Agricultural Economics from University of London. He also pursued Advanced Diploma in International Studies from University of Rhode Island and Advanced Diploma in Management from University of Oxford.

Previously, he was the Chairman of Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), a premier government agency under the purview of the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities which is entrusted to develop the oil palm industry in Malaysia. Prior to this, he had also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Golden Hope Plantations Berhad. Under his leadership, Golden Hope Plantations Berhad had received various awards including the Best Under A Billion Company in Asia-Pacific by Forbes International and the Most Caring Employer Award (Large Corporation) by the Ministry of Human Resources. He had also held several key positions at Golden Hope Plantations Berhad such as Group Director of Agro-Business, Group Director of Agro-Business and Group Director of Overseas Marketing.

Sabri Ahmad had also served companies such as Harrisons Malaysia Plantations Berhad, Fisheries Development Authority (MAJUIKAN) and Ministry of Agriculture. He is also the member of Policy Advisory Committee of MPOB and Vice President of Business Council of Sustainable Development Malaysia.

YBhg. Dato Sabri Bin Ahmad, BSc (Hons), MSc has been Group Managing Director of Felda Holdings Berhad since July 15, 2010. YBhg. Dato Bin Ahmad serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Group President of Felda Global at Felda Holdings Berhad. He served as Group Chief Executive of Golden Hope Plantations Berhad (formerly Harrison Malaysian Plantations Berhad) from January 1, 2004 to November 2007. He joined the Golden Hope Group in 1985 as Manager of Marketing and Research. He held the various positions in Golden Hope Plantations Berhad, as a Group Director of Industries from 2002 to 2003, Group Director of Agro Business from 1999 to 2002, Group Director of Overseas Operations/Marketing from 1993 to 1999, Director of Marketing from 1990 to 1992 and Acting Director of Marketing since 1990. YBhg. Dato Bin Ahmad served as a Food Marketing Officer of Ministry of Agriculture from 1970 to 1972, where he started his career and served as Deputy Director General of Fisheries Development Food Authority Malaysia from 1973 to 1984. He served as Acting Director of Marketing of Harrison Malaysia Plantations Bhd from 1989 to 1990 and Deputy Director of Marketing & Research for Harrison Malaysia Plantations Bhd since 1985. He has 19 years working experience in the plantations industry.

YBhg. Dato Bin Ahmad served as Chairman of Malaysian Palm Oil Board. He has been Director of MSM Malaysia Holdings Berhad since March 10, 2011. He has been a Non Independent Non Executive Director of Mentakab Rubber Co. Malaya Bhd since January 8, 2004. He has been a Non Independent Non Executive Director of Negara Properties M Bhd since January 8, 2004. He has been a Director of Australian Agricultural Co. Ltd., since April 4, 2011. He served as Non-Independent Executive Director of Golden Hope Plantations Bhd since January 7, 2004. YBhg. Dato Bin Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Agriculture Science from University of Malaya and subsequently obtained a Masters of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of London, United Kingdom in 1972. YBhg. Dato Bin Ahmad also holds Post-Graduate Diploma in International Development Affairs, USA and attended the Advanced Management Programme at the University of Oxford, England, Advanced Diploma in International Studies from the University of Rhode Island in 1980.
